Role Information
 

Peter Lucas Project Management is a group of energetic and curious problem-solvers.

We are hiring one or two Junior Developers to support development of a WIX-based website. The role may also include basic requirements gathering and digital design and/or marketing duties as well. We are looking for students that recently completed a post-secondary education diploma, certificate or degree seeking their first role in their chosen profession. The initial term of the role is 6 months with an opportunity to extend.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science, Computer Systems Technology Diploma, or related technical degree, diploma or certificate
• Proficiency in modern software language (JavaScript)
• Must be a permanent Canadian resident
• (Optional) Proficiency / interest in marketing

Duties:
 

• Develop software with the ability to take on tasks and independently work on them to completion
• Follow best practices to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and tested software
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and development team
• Test and maintain software to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary
