Role Information
Peter Lucas Project Management is a group of energetic and curious problem-solvers; we are currently looking for a variety of Project Managers and Project Engineers to serve mining clients in and around Saskatoon. With 2022 shaping up to be a very busy year in the Saskatchewan resource industry, clients across the spectrum are looking for top project talent at every experience level to deliver their capital programs. Mining clients include traditional potash mining, potash solution, and uranium mining, and a strong preference will be given to individuals with direct industry experience.

Qualifications:
- A minimum 3 years industry experience is required (potash or uranium mining);
- Professional Engineering Designation is an asset;
- A post secondary education in a related field (Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc) is an asset;
- Project Management Professional or other designation is an asset; and
- Must have excellent communication skills and leadership acumen with demonstrated ability to push projects to completion.
Duties:
- Establish project objectives by collaborating with project stakeholders and management team;
- Create and maintain project budget and schedule by approving expenditures, analyzing variances, negotiating changes in scope/contract, invoicing and collecting payment, initiating corrective actions, and reporting results to management;
- Organizing the project team, including assembling and directing team members and assigning/delegating responsibilities;
- Incorporate safety planning into all aspects of the project; and
- Communicate between engineering vendors, construction, operations and maintenance personnel to ensure designs meet construction requirements.
