CHALLENGES
AS COLLEAGUE
Guardians bring organization and structure to their work environments and are great at doing whatever needs to be done, for the benefit of the team. They are accountable, dependable, and enjoy interacting with and helping other people. And they excel when they can use their analytical abilities to do good for someone else. But in an environment where structure and hierarchy are not respected, Guardians can become stressed.
AS LEADER
In a project leadership role, Guardians thrive at being placed in situations when they can bring people together to meet the needs of stakeholders. They are great at uniting people to achieve a common vision, but if people challenge their authority, it can sometimes lead them to stress out, or to lose their cool. This is why it is especially important to have clearly defined expectations and roles, so that conflict is mainly averted.
AS SUPPORTER
Guardians excel in team environments, when they can utilize their excellent networking and communicating abilities, to meet the needs of everyone involved. Due to their desire to find fulfilling and helpful roles, they may find it draining when they are required to work alone, plugging away, and pushing paper. However, Guardians do take great pride in their work and a pat on the back from time to time, goes a long way in getting the most out of them.
