The MLX-W MacKay River Bridge is being constructed at the Mildred Lake Mine Site North of Fort McMurray. It’s intended use is to allow for Cat 797 haul traffic to transport Oil Sand material from MLX-W to the established process facility. The project consists of heavy civil earthworks, concrete piling, suspended concrete pile caps, 4m high bridge girders, concrete deck, and multiple clean and dirty water ditch delivery systems to protect the MacKay River. To date, the project has accomplished: 625,000 m3 of earth moved, 200,000 MT of granular supplied, 3,000 m3 of concrete batched and poured,310,000 exposure hours without LTI.
