To Whom it May Concern,

As you will see from my resume, my background is varied by industry ranging from Medical Devices to Food, Telecom, Fiber Glass Screening, Chemicals and Mining. The common denominator is that all are under the Supply Chain umbrella.

For the last 12 months I have been operating as a Sole Proprietor, providing Consulting Services to Pretium Resources Inc., reporting to the Director of Supply Chain. Since joining Pretium, my contract has been extended three times and my final term expires at the end of June 2022.

In this capacity I liaise with key-stakeholders ranging from Management through C-Suite, First Nations with whom Community Benefit Agreements are in place, and vendors, initiating and managing RFI’s, RFP’s, evaluating and recommending business award and preparing and executing contracts.

Pretium Resources Inc. was acquired by Newcrest Mining Limited in March of 2022. Newcrest is an Australian company with global focus, based in Melbourne.

I have effectively worked remotely since March of 2020 and am seeking a position whereby I can continue to do so. My actual location is Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.

I am personable, detailed, organized and have a reputation for achieving results.

One further reference I wish to provide is that of Stefane Belleau to whom I reported at Cogeco Cable Inc. Stefane is the Executive and head of Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement at CBC and can be reached via the following telephone numbers; 514-258-1467 (B), or 514-926-5106 (P) or via email at se.belleau@cbc.ca.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss opportunities with the Peter Lucas Project with you further and believe that I can make positive differences, being of benefit to your organization.

My resume is attached for further reference.

Sincerely,

Angela Gilchrist

Petroleum Engineer with 4 1/2 years in Refining and Project Management

To PeterLucas:

This letter is to express my interest in your Project Manager (Belle Plaine) role. I have 4 years and 5 ½ months of Engineer-in-Training experience, with some additional millwright experience (2011 Vanscoy Turnaround – worked on Texas Shaker Screens, Bucket Elevators, Scrubbers, Drag Conveyors, Belt Conveyors). I am currently working on P. Eng reporting. Early in my engineering career I was involved in a large-scale liquids pipeline PI/SCADA Controls Engineering project. After that, I provided the Moose Jaw Refinery (MJR) with project engineering contract work for a year. I was responsible for coordinating and tracking work orders, equipment, and MOC’s in Maximo and developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with operations and maintenance. I also trained operations and management how to properly close out work orders and MOC’s in Maximo. I was responsible for putting together contractor work packages for turnaround 2019 and providing cost analysis. The Operations Manager called me back for Turnaround 2020 to provide an in-depth cost analysis. I provided these Key Performance Indexes (KPIs) to MJR/upper management numerically and graphically; Daily Spend ($), Cumulative Spend ($), Total Spend (%), Turnaround Completion (%), Manpower on site (Capital + Maintenance). We developed and perfected a very creative visual tool (daily turnaround log) which summarizes everything from, cost/completion overview (my portion), safety, manpower overview, daily contractor activities with pictures of progress, QA/QC daily findings, other discussions/risks/concerns/opportunities/delays and look ahead of upcoming activities/schedule. MJR Asphalt is equipped with both an atmospheric distillation column and a vacuum distillation column. I familiarized myself with typical operating conditions: bottom fractionating temperature on both columns, steam ejector pressure on vacuum column, and with an operations supervisor tracked daily the percentages of each fraction to look for anomalies. I have also worked alongside the environmental team and TSASK at the refinery and am aware of many policies and practices used in the refining of crude. These tasks have allowed me to collaborate and communicate with Operations, Engineering, and Management teams at the refinery. I am currently providing a major potash company with Process Controls Engineering support for their facilities across North America. This entails a lot of unique calculation base solutions, querying of databases to acquire relevant information, interactive/HMI type graphic construction, fixing and creating automated reporting solutions, etc.

Through my education, I have taken various courses that involve refinery, reservoir, and production/completion processes. I am very keen on a field position, as I enjoy the interaction and learning opportunity that comes with working on an operations team. My background as being a mechanically inclined individual would also be a valued asset to your team. Working in conjunction with the Maintenance/Integrity Engineer and Capital Engineer at the refinery has given me great experience in understanding budgeting, forecasting, project execution, MOC, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, contractor utilization, and process optimization. I have also had the opportunity to participate in a lot of interesting projects such as; pipeline pigging (clean pigging, gauge pigging, smart pigging), tank repairs (shell & roof metal, insulation, vent tracing), critical lifts and removal of replaced equipment, inspections (tanks: internal and external, piping, vessel), turnaround (planning, budgeting (cost tracking), execution). I was also involved in a PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review) for the commissioning of the refinery’s debottleneck project, both in documentation and mechanical walk down.

Through my passion for engineering, I believe that I would make an excellent addition to the Cenovus Lloydminster team. I will utilize my technical knowledge and skills to deliver a detail-oriented solution to any situation I encounter, to the best of my abilities. I will also strive to continually expand my knowledge base in any available way, whether it consists of learning new software, or personal development in a new area of engineering. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to having an opportunity to discuss further how my passion and skills could contribute to the team at Cenovus. I can be reached through the contact information provided above.

Sincerely,

Blair Graas
